My name is Amanda Campbell. I married the sweetest guy I’ve ever met on October 15, 2009. I met Blake in a college night class when a mutual friend introduced us. He invited me to go swing dancing with him, and even though I wasn’t quite sure if it was a date or not, by the end of the night I was smitten. I couldn’t stop smiling for days. A month later he went out of state to work for the summer. It was so hard, but spending those four months apart with long phone conversations every day made our love grow faster and stronger than it would have if we were together. We knew we couldn’t be apart any longer, and in October we were married at the Salt Lake temple.

It was while I was planning my wedding that I discovered my love for wedding photography. It was beautiful, artistic, and so meaningful to the subjects. My strong background in art let me really appreciate the beauty. I had already owned a DSLR camera for a few years before it even occurred to me that I should be a ‘photographer,’ but from the time I saw those wedding photographs I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life.

My husband is my strength. He encouraged me to take the first steps to become a professional photographer. Through the good days and bad, he’s been there to help me and make me feel better when I get discouraged.
